Dear Families,

I can’t believe this is my second last BLOG POST of the school year!!!  I have thoroughly enjoyed communicating our news and learning with you all (my students’ families).  I thank you for being a regular follower and supporting your child’s learning (E.g., by asking them questions about their week) and reading my thoughts!  It has been a true pleasure writing these posts each week as I get to reflect upon all the neat things we're doing as a class and this brings me immense joy, too!

We enjoyed another jam-packed fun week of exploring, learning, and sharing!  You'll see with the abundance of photos I was able to capture :) Take a moment to find your child's lovely smile, they're precious, aren't they?!  Absolutely!  Enjoy your weekend ... may it continue to be sunny and bright!

Father's Day:
Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful Dads and Grandpas!  I hope you enjoy quality time together as a family.  Your child is so excited to give Dad and Grandpa the personalized card and letter that they created. Each student worked so hard on this during the week, I am so proud of their final products and I am confident you will be, too.  Thank you to all the families who provided a photograph to glue on the t-shirt, it turned out adorable!  I was delighted to see and hear that my students have a special bond with their father, they lit up sharing their favourite memories!  Here are a few pictures of the Father's Day cards that students made ...

Probability Experiment:
This week students worked collaboratively to participate in a variety of probability experiments using coins and dice to see the likelihood of getting heads, tails, and doubles.  They were required to make a prediction prior to completing the task.  Their reactions to when their prediction was right was priceless, so many smiles!  As students played the games, I walked around listening to them communicate their thinking using probability vocabulary such as likely, unlikely, certain, impossible, etc...  Check us out working together to get the job done!

Primary Play Day:
Today was a day of outdoor sunny FUN!  I would like to thank Mr. McMillan's and Mrs. Godfrey's Grade 5 and 6 students for leading, facilitating, and organizing ALL the events / stations for the primary division to take part in.  As you can see below, we had an amazing day playing engaging, meaningful, and exciting games!!  We ended our day in our class community to cool off with a yummy rocket popsicle, mmm :)
